The existing ultrasonic water meter is composed of an ultrasonic probe, signal processing unit, display unit, and other parts. Using high-precision, ultra-stable double-balanced signal differential transmission, using the principle of low voltage and multi-pulse difference, to measure the torrent time in the forward and reverse direction, and calculate the flow rate according to the time difference. When the ultrasonic beam propagates in the liquid, the flow of the liquid will cause a slight change in the propagation time. Compared with the flow velocity and zero flow of the liquid, the time required for the two sensors to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves is exactly the same.
Ultrasonic water meter features:
(1) The use of ultrasonic flow detection technology avoids pressure loss, no mechanical rotating parts, reduces the energy consumption of water pumps, and saves water supply costs;
(2) Reliable, can work for a long time at any flow point, and the measurement results will not be disturbed by magnets;
(3) Powered by batteries, one battery can work continuously for more than 6 years, with low starting current and high precision.
Suggestions for installing an ultrasonic water meter:
(1)) The vertical pipeline with the liquid upward (or diagonally upward) is preferred, and the horizontal pipeline should be avoided as far as possible to prevent the liquid from going downward (or diagonally downward), so as to prevent the liquid from filling the pipeline;
(2) The installation position of the metering device should not be selected at the high point of the pipeline. Its main purpose is to prevent the water meter accumulated in the pipeline from not working properly and making accurate measurements;
(3) When the ultrasonic water meter is installed on a horizontal pipe, the panel of the ultrasonic water meter must be kept horizontal. When an inclined setting is required under special circumstances, the inclined angle shall not exceed 30°.
