The ultrasonic water meter uses the time difference method to measure the flowmeter, that is, an ultrasonic transducer is installed upstream and downstream of the measurement pipeline for the conversion between the transmitted signal and the received signal between the ultrasonic signals.

In the pipeline, the ultrasonic signal and the water flow signal are superimposed, so that the propagation speed of the ultrasonic wave is different in the forward flow and the upstream flow, so the ultrasonic signal emitted by different transducers will have a different propagation speed in the water, which can be used for measurement.
