For newcomers who have just entered the industry, they are confused about ultrasonic water meters and ultrasonic flow meters. What are these two and what are the differences? Let's discuss it together
First of all, the principles of ultrasonic water meters and ultrasonic flow meters are different.
The ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter that further accumulates the flow of water by detecting the time difference caused by the change of speed when the ultrasonic sound beam propagates upstream and downstream in the water, and analyzes and processes the flow rate of the water. Features: low initial flow rate, wide range ratio, high measurement accuracy and stable operation. There are no moving parts inside, no blocking elements, and it is not affected by impurities in the water, and has a long service life. The output communication function is complete, meeting various communication and wireless networking requirements. It has excellent small flow detection ability, can solve many problems of traditional water meters, is more suitable for gradient charging of water fee, more suitable for saving and rational utilization of water resources, and has broad market and application prospects.
Ultrasonic flow meters are instruments that measure flow by detecting the effect of fluid flow on an ultrasonic beam (or ultrasonic pulse). The ultrasonic flowmeter adopts the time difference measurement principle: after the signal transmitted by one probe passes through the pipe wall, the medium and the other side of the pipe wall, it is received by another probe, and at the same time, the signal transmitted by the second probe is also received by the first probe. , due to the influence of the medium flow rate, there is a time difference Δt between the two. According to the calculation, the conversion relationship V=(C2/2L)×Δt between the flow rate V and the time difference Δt can be obtained, and then the flow value Q can be obtained.
Second, the medium measured by the two is different. The ultrasonic flowmeter is a large range, and the medium it measures may be various fluids such as water, chemical liquid, petroleum, alcohol, etc. However, the ultrasonic water meter is only used for water alone.
