With the increasing application of ultrasonic water meters, the discussion on ultrasonic water meters has also increased. Today we will talk about the installation and layout of ultrasonic water meters. As far as installation and layout are concerned, what are the requirements for ultrasonic water meters?
Regarding the requirements for installation and arrangement of the ultrasonic water meter, the issues to be considered are:
1. One-way flow or two-way flow: usually one-way flow, but it can also be designed to be a two-way flow through more complex electronic circuits. At this time, the length of the straight pipe sections on both sides of the flow measurement point should be arranged according to the requirements of the upstream straight pipe section.
2. Installation position and flow direction: The flow sensing part of the ultrasonic water meter can generally be installed in horizontal, inclined or vertical pipes. It is best to choose a place where the vertical pipeline flows from bottom to top. If it is from top to bottom, there should be sufficient back pressure downstream. For example, there should be a follow-up pipeline higher than the measurement point to prevent the non-full pipe flow at the measurement point.
3. Pipeline conditions: The deposition layer on the inner surface of the ultrasonic water meter pipe will cause poor sound transmission and deviation from the expected channel path and length, which should be avoided; the outer surface is less affected because it is easy to handle. The transducer and pipe contact surfaces should be coated with couplant. It should be noted that the pipeline of granular structure materials, is likely to be dispersed by the sound waves, most of the sound waves will not be transmitted to the fluid and reduce performance. There should be no gap between the pipe lining or corrosion layer and the pipe wall where the transducer is installed.
