With the commercial use of NB-IoT technology in the smart water meter industry, water companies all over the country have tested the water to understand the advantages of NB-IoT water meters. If there is an independent communication module, water meter data does not need to be transferred through collectors, amplifiers, and concentrators. Compared with other communication methods (2G3G4G), the power consumption is lower, the standby time is longer, the network coverage is wider and stronger, and there is no need for debugging and installation. These advantages can indeed solve the problems and difficulties encountered in the use of concentrator water meters, but it is clearer that NB- The impact of the non-real-time online mechanism of IoT water meters on valve control.
The NB valve-controlled water meter replaces the LoRa valve-controlled water meter for large-scale applications, and the following conditions must be met:
1. 2. In terms of ensuring the communication of NB water meters, the signal in some pilot water meter installation areas is weak, and there is continuous non-transmission of water meters. Although it can be solved by adjusting the antenna of the manufacturer or requiring the operator to strengthen the signal, the worse the environmental signal conditions, the more the water meter is in communication. The more power is consumed, the greater the battery consumption. It is possible that the service life of the water meter cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the design of replaceable battery will be a must in subsequent purchase and use.
3. In the NB data transmission, the data reported by the water meter is initially analyzed by the operator platform before entering the main station. The timeliness and reliability of the transmission have not been fully verified.
