Working principle
Ultrasonic water meter is mainly composed of three parts: sensor, signal processor and metering module. The sensor, which measures the time and frequency of sound waves traveling through the water to obtain the speed of the water flow, consists of two ultrasonic sensors, one acting as a transmitter and the other as a receiver. When the water passes through the sensor, the transmitter outputs a beam of high-frequency ultrasonic waves and is driven by the water to the receiver, which receives the signal and calculates the water speed by calculating the time difference and frequency difference between the sound waves.
The signal processor is the central controller of the water meter, which receives the signal from the sensor, amplifies it, filters it, corrects the distortion, and calculates the flow rate of the water according to the preset parameters. At the same time, the signal processor also contains data storage, communication, computing and other modules, and can send data to the user or management through wireless communication or wired transmission.
The metering module is the most critical part of the water meter, which is responsible for calculating the flow of water and displaying it on the meter meter. The metering module will calculate the actual flow rate of the water according to the preset measurement algorithm through the data such as water flow speed received from the signal processor, and convert it into a common flow unit for display.
